Bakable American Alfredo Sauce
Yield:4 servings
Ingredients
| 2 Tbsp Butter |
| 3 Cloves Garlic, minced or grated |
| 1 Yellow Onion, small dice |
| Pinch crushed red pepper flakes |
| ½ C White Wine |
| 2 ¾ C DairyStar Half & Half |
| 1 C Stella Hard Italian Cheese |
| ½ Lemon, zested and juiced |
| 4 oz cream cheese |
| TT Salt and Tons of fresh Cracked Black Pepper |
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Melt Butter in a large non-reactive saucepan over medium heat. Add the crushed red pepper flakes and the onion and sauté until soft and translucent. Add the garlic and cook 1 additional minute.
- Increase to medium high and add the white wine cooking down until almost nothing remains in the pan.
- Add the half-and-half and cheese. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the cream cheese and cook until the sauce is thickened and the cheese is melted and fully incorporated, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat, stir in the parsley, lemon juice and zest and season with salt and black pepper.
