Bakable American Alfredo Sauce

Bakeable American Alfredo Sauce

Yield:4 servings

Ingredients

2 Tbsp Butter
3 Cloves Garlic, minced or grated
1 Yellow Onion, small dice
Pinch crushed red pepper flakes
½ C White Wine
2 ¾ C DairyStar Half & Half
1 C Stella Hard Italian Cheese
½ Lemon, zested and juiced
4 oz cream cheese
TT Salt and Tons of fresh Cracked Black Pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Melt Butter in a large non-reactive saucepan over medium heat. Add the crushed red pepper flakes and the onion and sauté until soft and translucent. Add the garlic and cook 1 additional minute.
  3. Increase to medium high and add the white wine cooking down until almost nothing remains in the pan.
  4. Add the half-and-half and cheese. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the cream cheese and cook until the sauce is thickened and the cheese is melted and fully incorporated, about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from the heat, stir in the parsley, lemon juice and zest and season with salt and black pepper.
